Did a crossword yesterday, Fred, and the clue was 'brewski'......the answer was 'cold one'.
Made me thirsty!

Hey Fred - just wondering how you're getting along with your RVLOCK so far. Still happy? Any problems with it? I could be tempted next time it goes on sale.

Hola War Eagle!

No problems at all and very happy with the lock. I would buy it again, especially if it goes on sale.

Looks like an extremely nice lock and install. I looked at the rvlock.com website and the price shown is $239 99
If I may ask what was the sale price for this lock ?
I like the concept but not at $240 .
This is not a reflection on your choice but more a reflection on my frugality or cheapness . Feel free to choose the correct description.

I paid $144 for mine. A pre-Christmas sale where the pricing was done as a Dutch auction, the price got a little higher every day you waited.

I had checked when they had the sale on, and unfortunately, like lots of stuff, they would not ship to Canada. Going to have to keep locking my door the old fashioned way, I guess.

No worries on "the reflection"... I missed out on the big pre-Christmas discount, but it became a "gotta have it" item, so I paid $216 (10% discount). You are the smarter one, biding your time until they offer a big discount again.

Regards,

Red Dog

For anyone interested in one of these locks, I'd suggest you sign up for their newsletter. I believe that's where I found out about their incremental sale that I first posted about on here, way back then. I ordered on Dec 1st. Got it for the same price, which was their highest discount.

Also check out their facebook page - that's always a good way to find out about sales from various companies. I'd been watching their sales for quite a while and when they had this one I jumped on it. They seem to have sales/discounts for every single holiday out there and then some.

Ours hasn't been installed yet as it's been too cold and wet out there to do so. Spring has not sprung around here, unless lots of rain is part of your springtime thinking.

I getting the 4.0 version, can't order it till Friday though. I see they also have a compact model but looks like the 4.0 version fits just fine. I prefer the 4.0 over the 3.0 as it's a one piece unit as opposed to having a separate keypay to install.

Thanks, Red Dog for posting your installation photos. It inspired me to add this option as well. Gotta keep the ladies happy.

We put one on shortly after getting our 21' this summer and so far we love it! It is easy to install, too.

I wish we could get one. Can only be used on the newer generation Escapes.

The new Compact model is 4.25” tall x 4.5” wide. I haven’t gone over yet to see if the smaller width will fit the Classic.
