Trailer: 2013 Escape 17B!

Sad to Say

I got to pick up my beautiful Escape 17 on May 30th and then promptly broke my right arm in several places. No seeing any of British Columbia or any of you at the rally this trip. My brother, bless his heart, flew out from southern California and drove me, car and trailer all the way home. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. If things go really well, I might be able to take a short inaugural trip in early August. I am so very sad! Well, maybe next year...

Carol! So sorry to hear about your unfortunate accident. At least you will heal up and then enjoy your new trailer. Meanwhile you can camp in it at home all you like!....just trying to be positive!...great brother you have!

I'm so sorry, Carol, as I know how very excited you were to pick up the trailer and do some sightseeing on Vancouver Island and in BC. Here's to a quick recovery and then on to the next adventure!

I know it's supposed to be good luck to say "go break a leg" but an arm? Really, how unfortunate for you especially when you were so looking forward to the rally and some touring. Thankfully your brother came through and you all got home safely. Hopefully you'll be able to get out on the road soon, even if close to home. We'll all just have to wait until next year's rally to meet you! Hope your recovery is short.

Carol,

Bummer about the broken arm!

Did you get the larger refrigerator in your 17B? I notice that your top vent is much higher up than mine, and larger. It also appears that the holding tube for the stinky slinky has been upgraded...at last!

Sorry to hear that, Carol.

We'll save you a spot for next year in Osoyoos.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!

Bob,
Yes, I opted for the larger fridge. Also, I researched/found/begged/and paid for a 64" sewer hose holding tube.

Oh no! I was so happy for you, and thinking about your great travel plans that included the Escape rally, island hopping and staying at beautiful places. Not to mention the excitement and adventure of outfitting "My Escape"; being new to towing; and learning lots.
I hope the pain and disappointment vanish, and you have a rapid recovery.
Meanwhile, know that others in the Escape community wish you well, and are looking forward to your participation in enjoyable ventures.

Too bad you miss the rally, but if it's any consolation, it is so hot here in Osoyoos that you'd think you were home in California anyway.

OOhhh, Carol! I was so looking forward to hearing about how it all went. Your arm will be better before long and you can have a different but wonderful trip!
