Shipping Packages in the US near ETI
Hi Folks,
We’re picking our 19ft Escape this June. Rather than driving to BC with everything we need , I'd like to ship packages to somewhere in the US near the border where they would hold them until I take ownership. Some of these packages will be quite large (a mattress) and shipped via UPS.
Folks at ETI think Package Express and Ship Happens might be possibilities. If they are does anyone have contact info?
Does anyone know of such a place?

I'd just google "shipping stores Sumas WA" to see what comes up. I know I drive past multiple businesses like that when I go to cross the border. There's probably a UPS Store in town as well. They do big business with Canadians crossing over to get stuff that sellers won't ship to Canada.

Most of the time Canadians cross the border to pick up stuff isn't because the vendor wouldn't ship to Canada. It's because sometimes the cost to get an item close to the border is free or very low cost. To get it to Canada sometimes is very expensive by comparison. So it's easier to pick up in the US and cross with it, most of the time just waved through without any duties or fees.

Of course, that works best for Canadians who already live close to the US border. For those of us who live a good long drive from the border, the choices are to bite the bullet and pay for shipping/customs fees/etc., to shop around for a Canadian online supplier with better shipping rates, or to buy local.
