Sink size
Does anyone know the size of the kitchen sink?
I am looking at different faucets, just wondering if they would fit.
It's so hard to make all of there decisions!

The sink faucet that Escape mounts in the kitchen is on 8" centers. Typical bar sink faucets are on 4" centers.

Actually, unless something has changed, the faucet is mounted on the counter. There are no holes in the sink itself whether it is the stainless or the plastic. If you wanted a faucet with 4" centers I would check with Reace just to make sure that there is not some mounting issue, but the sink really doesn't come into play.

Jim - probably the SS
Want to make sure the "neck" is not too wide. I would rather the faucet piddle in the sink and not on the floor!
Thanks Donna

Since we're discussing sinks, pardon me for butting in Vicki... but can someone tell me the size of the drain in the SS sink, please. Is it the tiny size or the 3" drain?

It is a small diameter drain plug, probably about 1-1/4 or 1-1/2" dia.

Thanks Dave. I kinda figured as much. It's the same as in my Scamp. Drains fine, but I've got something else on my mind.... sigh. Already thinking of mods before the first 5er comes off the line!

No, you may not mount a disposal, Donna, nor a dishwasher. Leave those at home

Ah dang Jim! How did you guess?
Actually, I'm thinking of a Prep sink. It's stainless, but almost 1/2 again as big (wider, not vertically longer) and several inches deeper. I've got one of the deepest bar sinks in my Scamp, but it's STILL a PITA. I'll get out my tape measure when Dave&Kathie get their 21' home.... they're going to think I'm moving in! If the measurements are right and Escape won't make the change for me and IF there's no reason to NOT change the sink (something in the way), I'll do it myself. I've cut a countertop for a double-bowl sink and it's not all that hard to do. I have the tools (router) and know how it's done.
Thinking out loud here...

Why not delete the sink and just have the plumbing there. then you can order one of those double sinks with a small prep bowl vs 2 individual sinks.....JAT and while you are at it, install a Hepvo valve under neath, it really saves you storage room.

We're on the same page Jim! But, no not a double sink. Unless both sides are the same size (I've had the other), the skinny side is nearly worthless (unless you have a garbage disposal on that side ). So many things to consider and to many choices and options...
I've followed Larry Gamble's mods to Casita's. I KNOW the benefits of the hepvo... especially in the shower

Sorry for trashing your thread Vicki! That's a very nice faucet you're considering. One thing I've noticed in all my reading on the forums, is those that complain about "splash." That's easily resolved with a swivel aerator on the spout.

We have one similar in the house and yes, splash is a problem. That's why I haven't really decided!
No problem on hijacking... It all pertains to the same idea!

This is what I think Donna is talking about. Works great and no splash. We had one on the Casita and purchased another from Larry for the Escape. Love those 60 second mods

Exactly Tom & Cheryl. No need for "splash" aim the aerator right at the drain. No matter the hi-rise spout... And there are aerators in "chrome" including brush finishes...
