This is my 17B with the WDH installed.
Already looks quite busy up front.

Just for info, Escape won't mount the tire up front. They're concern is that users with a lot of personal stuff might violate their 12-15% tongue weight target for the 21.
Which is a bit odd in my opinion as they will install a big storage box rated for 100 pounds, which is less than 1 spare tire......oh well.

Yes but it would seem that on the 21 when the storage box goes on the front the battery(s) ?head to the back bumper.. Also the spare is off set from the trailer centreline presumably for a side to side balance adjustment. I'm sure trailers "as delivered" by the manufacturer meet the tongue weight requirements for safe towing. How and where owners load their stuff after handover would be their responsibility.

Hi: Burloak...This Is True!!! There are always those of us that test the limits of safe operation and when something goes wrong blame the manufacture of the product for not protecting us "From our own stupidity".
My new lawn equipment is a prime example of this. It's got more fail safe systems than I like. Alf

I crossed paths with a couple owning a 2012 Escape 5.0. They had completely lost their spare going home with their brand new Escape. The weld on the mount broke unknowingly and still today they wonder if an accident was caused and where. He suggested that everyone inspect the spare tire mount for cracks, fatigue, and loose bolts.

Shortly after we had purchased our 19' we had a request from Escape to check the quality of the weld on the spare tire holder, as there had been a problem with a bad weld on at least one other trailer ( probably your friends). Ours was fine.
