Re: stove/oven on escape....???

We got the 3-burner stove. Although we will likely do most of our cooking outside when in good weather (which should be most of the time), we were glad we had it on our cold snowy trip back from Chilliwack recently & frequently had all three going simultaneously when making breakfast or dinner.

Re: stove/oven on escape....???

I wasn't aware that there was an oven option ( not talking microwave ). I got the three burner stove and use the burners one at a time, cooking mostly outside on the BBQ and a butane stove.

Re: stove/oven on escape....???

I would imagine it would be easy for Reace to get one. We had thought about it, but for the little use it would get, opted instead for more cabinet storage. Besides, we went for a glass covered sink/stove combo unit. I have a great little oven designed for backpacking that I bring along.

Re: stove/oven on escape....???

I think it would be great to have a stove inside for cooking.....Most of the time we are outside for cooking on the Coleman 2 burner stove. But I prefer a oven instead of a microwave.... just for the utility reheat food. We are planning to get the 3 burners stove option.......but after thought we start thinking of a oven/stove combo.....

Actually, if you eat enough baked cakes, you might just tighten them.

Re: stove/oven on escape....???

Rease installed a three burner stove and oven combo in our 19'. Colleen is a baker and we felt she would use it. So far this summer we used it once but plan more use next summer. The unit is black and so we got a black range hood. We felt the white sink would not match and so we got a stainless one with chrome taps. We do miss the drawers, however we will be putting a drawer at the bottom of the wardrobe.

Re: stove/oven on escape....???

Boy Jim, that looks like fun, but COLD (brrrrrrr). On a day like that, I think I'll take my pizza inside Hokie (where it's warm), and eat a pizza cooked in a nice toaster oven (not the same animal as when I was a kid, some of them are very nice, and can be stowed away when not in use).

Re: stove/oven on escape....???

Inside on this trip would be in the tent, we don't ever eat in there while bears are still awake.
Besides, freshly baked pizza, with a yummy risen dough crust warms you up great.

Re: stove/oven on escape....???

I am unable to take some new pictures of the stove/oven combo as the trailer is stored off site. However I have one picture that I took earlier that will give you some idea of the install.

Re: stove/oven on escape....???

I like, I like.
I DO use an oven when I can..
Unfortunately the 17" doesn't have one..
But the last trip we were plugged in and I have a nice toaster oven unit that works just dandy. Put on top of the wardrobe away from the wall and works fine...

To give up the furnace in the 17" unit for the oven--nah didn't want to do that either..

Re: stove/oven on escape....???

Nice looking unit. I use my oven at home for storage of cookie sheets and some roasting pans when not in use. I imagine that could be done here as well. Though I would suggest wrapping them in a dish towel so if there was movement, no chips would happen in the porcelain. I too am thinking of getting a toaster oven or an electric frying pan (which possibly can double as an oven, I'm told).
