Subtle changes in new models

Several members, particularly those in attendance at Osoyoos this year have indicated that Escape has made several subtle changes to their models. We all know about the recessed stove replacement but now I have heard mention of the new heater exterior vent cover to allow access to the furnace from outside. Someone else mentioned a new refrigerator exterior cover. I notice the solar is now 170 watts vs the 160 older model. I'm trying to keep current on these changes and would appreciate any input members may have on the new 2018 model changes. Thank you.....

Thinking about trading again Jim?
Don’t want to get too far behind the curve. Garlic is looking super. Peppers too.

Thinking about it, hate to pass up a sale this month while dog sitting the entire summer. Franklin will not leave my side, so I guess he is afraid, he turned 14 last month. Plus my propane is getting low in my one tank.....

Is that fiberglass cloth mat I see around the wheel well when I magnify?

With the low resolution of that image, I think you're just seeing image artifacts.

Would that be where the cable connection would be?

We were at the factory the other day and the new recessed stoves look like they have electronic ignition too. Very nice looking, especially with the flat counter, much more user friendly.

That recessed stove top is sweet. When I was planning my 17B back in 2016 sales originally said I could put in one in so I ordered and have SD it shipped to Escape. Then Reace reviewed the order and said nope. Won't fit in the 17 as too little space between it and the heater. Oh well!

We have a 2016 -21 and I was wondering if the new recessed stove would fit in the opening of the 2 burner that came with the trailer?

That is hard to figure out exactly because there is no good info published (that I could find) on the new Suburban SDS2-RV model. The only thing I know for certain is that a Dickinson cooktop replaces a stock 2 burner Atwood DV20 with just a slight enlargement of the opening.

Jim,

When I was at the Mississippi River Rendezvous a couple of years ago there was a gentleman there that had just returned from ETI with his brand new Escape 19. He had a 21 but decided to go back to a 19 and had raced across the country with his new 19 to get to the Rendezvous. Anyway he had some printed brochures for the 21 and graciously offered me one. The brochure just so happens to be sitting on my desk now so if you need it I can get it two you for your research!

Although an expensive option, I love my Dickinson in the 19. Still would have gone for it over the new recessed stove, although it does have a slightly larger footprint.
