Television Mount

We had ETI install the tv mount for us. The arm doesn't stay in place and the bolts can't be tightened to keep it in place. Do we have a bad mount or is this normal? We may replace with same or get a different one.

Are you taking about the mount the arm holds into coming loose? I am not sure how they mount it. I used two of the same mount and they to do fine. Did you contact them yet? 'tis the weekend now though.

It is the arm on the mount that moves and doesn't tighten. We don't worry about the tv falling off. The TV moves with gravity and doesn't stay put for us to view, thus, we use tape on the tv up to the roof. I have no problem purchasing another mount from Amazon, but if they all work like this we aren't interested. Since we don't watch a lot of tv, we just lived with it.

Every tv mount I have seen has a hex bolt that you tighten to keep things upright and level, uses a hex wrench.

Boy, I would sure like to see a photo of that as I surely cannot find one on mine which came with my trailer. I ended up using a wooden wedge to level the mount at the wall.

Here is the one I have used in the past on several trailers, all the joints have hex bolts and your can tighten then to where there is no movement....https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks for the photo. I have a similar mount and the hex bolts can be tightened to stop movement. I was interested in your leveling comment. Our television hangs down at a considerable angle and I had to use a wedge to raise the bottom of the mount where it attaches to the wall in order to level the television. I was hoping there was some way to level the television that did not require something like my wedge. You can see my leveled television in the first photo and the wedge at the bottom of the mount.

I think you are talking about viewing angle, the wall is level as long as the trailer is level, but the viewing angle on some tv's need to be "not level" for better viewing. This is accomplished by the Tilt" feature where you can raise or lower the angle of tilt or viewing angle. This mount does that.

Sorry to be so dense, but where is the tilt feature? I have looked around the mount wherever I can and cannot find anything to tilt it. Is there a manual for the mount?

If you click on the amazon link you will see a set of pictures, one of which is the tilt feature, it is the bolt on the piece that attached to the tv, it can be tilted up or down.
