Pretty soon the 2 Jim's are singlehandedly going to fill up the Escape production calendar.

LOL - but in other parts the soil is terrible, as all the top soil ended up in Iowa and Illinois.

Congrats on the new 5er Jim. Looks like you will have a fun winter putting together the build list for you dream trailer. Will be interested in what you ultimately decide for carrying your canoe along with you. (By the way, we paddled the Kootenay River on the Labor Day long weekend. Weather was cold and wet and we still had a blast. Was my second time on that trip and can't wait to go back again. Was thinking of bringing the Escape along this trip but decided to tent it instead since we were staying at Horseshoe Rapids and access for a trailer was poor.)

Thanks, Dave. I will have much of the winter to ponder my options.

I don't plan to make a final decision, or purchase, of our portable canoe until after I have the truck and trailer together, and figure out what I will do for storage. Still looking and researching the options though.

I haven't paddled the Kootenay River for over 30 years now. I know the the local canoe club does a long weekend trip there once a year, but I haven't paddled with them for a couple years now.

You might have picked up on it, but we spent 5 nights on Murtle Lake a few weeks ago. Had a great time despite coming close to being swamped in horrific winds one day. Caught lots of delicious rainbows and did some hiking too.

So, what's the hatch date on that new 5er Jim? Or did I miss that...

Hopefully in time for the rally in May. I sure wouldn't want to miss that, but would likely come regardless. Jasper just has way too much fun.

Didn't know your 19' was gone. We were without ours for a mere 3 1/2 months but it was most of the season this year. Think we just made up for that though.

Now you will have all of those decisions and we can tell you what you should and should not get that you don't care one whit about! We'll tell you anyway! Congrats on the new one coming!

By the way, you will be very glad to have all of the improvements including better city water fill, better stabilizers (don't know what is on the 5.0 but the ones on our 21' are an improvement), ceiling lights, better refrigerator, and much more.

Thanks, Cathy. I expect and welcome all these comments and suggestions, even the ones I don't care a whit (whatever that is ) about.

Thanks Bruce, I very much appreciate all the thought you put into your response. However, there will definitely be a bunch of options left unchecked.

You guys are on to something here. It won't be longer, but just like the Eddy Bauer Fords, there will now be a Jim Bennett outfitted Escape 5.0 TA. Doesn't everyone want my name on the side of their trailer?

New trailer

Ok now you've done it. Just like farm families used to sit around and name the new calf, I can see a round of name Jim's new trailer. Since he kept it secret so long, I'll start with the Jim Bennett Stealth TA.
