The Dream Did Come True

To keep the chatter off other threads, I thought I would start my own to let you all know, that I have a 5.0 TA on order, due next year.

I now am trailerless, as the 19 is in someone else's hands now.

Seeing my signature and user info has been changing over the last few weeks, with the 19 now gone, people pretty much figured it out anyway.

I have been watching with interest for some time now while options have been discussed. I still have lots of decisions to be made as to what options I want, what customization from Escape I would like, and what I plan to do with it once I get it.

I also am trying to decide on a tow vehicle. Lots of options out there. With models selling now the F-150 Eco-boost is leading, but I am really interested to see what happens with the new diesels that are coming out. I do have a few months to figure it out, though Ford has some good price incentives now. I can't use my F-350, as it has the large tool shed in the box carrying my work tools. What we are going to do until I retire, is to sell our '08 Honda Accord and our '09 Honda Pilot and become a 2 pickup family. Once I do retire, I will sell the F-350 and likely get a small fuel efficient car.

Anyway, lots of fun times ahead getting it all figured out.

Presume you have contacted Donna D? She seems to love her Ford Eco.

I have listened to all her and Robert have said, plus a couple others I know with them, plus all the research I have been doing for ages now.

Thanks, Anna-Marie.

My 19 is now with another, kinda sad but looking forward to a new (and hopefully final) chapter with Escape trailers. And yes, my brother did order a new one, which won't be ready until next December, but he still has his tent trailer, which he has had for 19 years, to use until then.

Wow! We! Way to go Jim. Can't say I'm surprised as you have been hinting for a while. I'm very happy for you both .... Even more fun ahead! What I like the best though is 'retirement - whatever that is' can't be too far away. You seem to be in good physical shape and that's the time to retire. Very happy for your move .... what a good choice! By the way .... I'll take you up on that coffee offer and in the mean time, I'll hoist a cold one in your honor.... maybe others would like to join in too.

Here Here Jim! Cheers!

As a footnote ... my 17A is due in 41 days.

Yeah, but who's counting.

And, I'd rather join you for a beer, but a toast to me and our new trailer would be appreciated.

It does, doesn't it.

The new owner is nobody on here, it is someone I do business with.

Congratulations....we have spent 4 months in a row in Florida, plus another 25 days in other places, we love it, and have absolutely no regrets - it hooks up and tows like a dream.
We get excited every time we get in it....I'm sure you will too!! It feels huge compared to our 17, the other thing I really like is it is no longer in overall length when hooked up.
Have fun putting it all together ,
Chapi
