That looks like a nice place, get a load of gravel and you may not need concrete. Boy, your potty is too far away from your house Do you a 15 amp circuit on the garage wall near by to tap into ?

Yes before the end of this year the pad will be framed in and packed gravel. If I wanted to have some real practice backing it I can pop that chain link panel out and put it behind the garage. This spot though is so well protected from all the bad weather It will live there nicely. That is an old picture when I first put the fence up the land is more level now etc.

No dedicated tap outside yet but that is a simple fix that garage is where I do my big projects is has its own electric panel with 3 open circuits so running one in will take about an hour or so. I want the unit here and positioned before I gauge where to put it on the wall outside.

I'll post my option list after speaking with Reace next week, he is in the process of giving birth to 2 more 21's then and will then post more pictures, it is still evolving as he is making changes. There are 6 reserved in October and 2 more in November and then I'm the first one in December.

It looks like they updated the specs and pics on their website what changes over the original 21 is Reace looking at making other than the headboard for the bed and moving the furnace as well as losing the storage behind the drivers side rear dinette ? 3000lb total for weight is great for a 21 ft , cheers

Jim, you made a boatload of mods to your 19 footer. The great thing about time is it allows you to think back to the mods that really worked and those that kinds/sorta worked. Besides you can BUDGET for those soon-to-be-made changes.
Let's not rush camping season... okay? I've waited for MONTHS to get to this point (Oregon Gathering) ... now it's your turn to wait

I'm contemplating putting an opening window in the door on the new 21'. Reace said that the small window that is put in the bath will fit the door. But Reace also said that he is now insulating the door, which was the weak spot in the 19' that had the extra insulation package. the window in the door is double paned but the door was hollow. Escape is now adding insulation. So the decision is having a well insulated door now with double window or losing the double pane window and get one that opens? I'm also going to have a window put in the bath so that may eliminate the need for the door change, remember the bath is right next to the door in the 21'.
Anyone have an opinion that may help me decide?

I'm also eliminating the bike rack option, my bikes fold and can be carried inside. I'm going to go the dual 6v with solar due to the larger refer. Dropping the cot option and screen room. Upgrading the MaxxFan to model#7500 with remote and smoke lens. Replacing several lights with the captain lights, having tv/12v hookup installed in front and rear.
First mod will be exterior down lighting underneath the trailer to illuminate the ground underneath at night time. Working on installing led rope lights underneath, have to figure how to attach with the foam package.

Jim, if I remember the layout of the 21 there is no ventilation near the bed on the entrance door side of the sleep area...only the bathroom. An opening window in the door may be a way to get some more flow in that area. I know it sounds weird but you may want some type of ventilation in the front of the trailer next to the bathroom....and you can't have too many batteries!

Yes, I agree, Reace is also making the bath door shorter to allow air flow over and under the door. So a window in the bath or outside door would be nice with the MaxxFan over the bed pulling air out.

If you camp in weather that requires closing the door, why would you want to open a window, specifically that one?

Jim, you may also want to consider upgrading the stock converter that comes stock in the WFCO Panel because it does not charge the batteries adequately. Upgrade with a 45 amp Powermax model from BestConverter - Converters, Inverters, Electrical Supplies, Electronics. It will put out the required 14.6 - 14.8 charging voltage for your golf cart batteries and give you 4 stages of charge. I upgraded mine for around $170...

In rainy weather these awning windows are great to have because you can leave them open for ventilation, also at night you can lock the door but have the window open for air. I'm just thinking out loud, it is an option that wan't offered before.

Good idea, will Reace do this during the build out?

Of course, you close and lock the door at night to keep the beer thieves away!
