The longest 5 months...
With the new owner picking up my Escape 19 this Saturday, July 6th and my new Escape 21' not being shipped until Friday December 6th, the realization is sinking in that I'm Escapeless for 5 months. I only had to wait 8 weeks from ordering to delivery on the 19'. Now when I look outside the yard will be empty. I'm going to miss seeing Quahog in the yard and my anticipation grows everyday for news on the 21' front. Here's hoping the next 150 days will fly by quickly, it seems to be dragging right now.

Sorry for you Jim, but not too much. We waited 207 days for our Escape. http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f1...tock-1764.html
Time will pass regardless of what you do. Use it well.
cheers
dave

Golly, that is almost 7 months, how did you do it? Were you without a camper the entire time?

We did not have a camper during the wait time. However, I was fortunate that most of my wait was over the winter months when weather here is mostly unsuited for camping. You are missing the prime camping season.

Jim,
I am not one to wish my life away, but I share your urgency to move this year along. I will retire at the end of the year, and order my Escape sometime next year. I am waiting to see if they come out with a 21' 5.0, otherwise it will be the 21 or the 19 5.0
Enjoy the ride,
Mike

Jim & Mike
I get the feeling too, we are all excited to get our Escape, likely a 19 although looking now at maybe 17b, but between my retirement being forced on me three months earlier than I'd hoped this year, moving next month, and one house just won't sell, listed for three months today and we're dropping the price again (anyone like a beautiful restored century home in Shelburne ON?)
we're gonna have to wait till next year now or maybe 2015 when I get the OAS!

Jim, That makes my 52 days sound better. We are camperless too having sold the Casita a few weeks ago. We are sitting around trying to think of other ways to spend our weekends. Last weekend we went for a 5 mile hike. Boy do I miss camping!

Gee,, you could buy a used egg of some sort, do your fix it up make it nicer magic on it, camp in it and eventually sell it. in this amount of time, if you are really really looking for stuff to do. :-)

Jim,
Perhaps you can spend a little time getting your parking pad expanded again if it needs it:} Keep you busy for a little while:}

Ha, Ha- no the extra 18" won't need a new pad, fortunately. Do you have a place for storage?

Current plan is to park it on the lee side of my 2 car garage the person who built the garage felt 32'x32' is great but lets go 8' for the door sigh.. Perhaps put a roof over the area next spring.
