Donna, I am very, very happy for you. A dream of many years to become true. And you can savor the time choosing finishes and extras!! I still am in love with my Cafe Egg, which is considered being a family member. And I can see you getting the same experience.

This is a fun thread for me and thanks to all of you for the congrats and best wishes.
I'm busy wearing out my preliminary build sheet. Putting stuff on, taking stuff off, change, change, change. Good thing it's electronic and not paper or I would have already rubbed a bunch of holes through it.
Sure will be glad when Dave&Kathie get their 21' home so I can go look and drool (and take my tape measure and take notes). Fun times ahead!

I printed out my build sheet today after making some major changes, it is now 2 full pages, gotta stop, running out of paper space.

Not yet. Do you have any suggestions? You've seen the fabric image (although the real thing is brighter). I found one called marble, but the background is white. I would have preferred the background to be vanilla or off white.

Don't forget you can also change the color of the trim, independent of the top color, I did that with mine.

It is so hard to tell without each in hand. I think I put 7734 in my AS, the darks went with the cabinets and the lighter colors blended with the off white walls.
I would just keep ordering samples til you find one you like. Get the 5x7, they are much better to get a realistic idea. Afterward you can built a house of cards with formica samples!
Good luck!

I picked up the small samples at Lowes, then ordered several 5"x7" from the website Paul mentioned. Think I'll go to Home Depot this weekend and see if they've got something different.
Thanks for the reminder about the edge trim Jim!

Donna
The one we chose is this one: Tumbled Mosaic pattern / color of Wilsonart Laminate - 4893
We went into a builder's supply in Chilliwack and picked it out, then gave the information to Tammy.

That looks really nice Brian. I guess I didn't pay attention when I toured your trailer. Remind me to LOOK next time. I thought buyers could only choose from Formica brand? I have seen some I thought I'd like from Wilsonart. Hummm.
What I'd REALLY like is a Corian countertop with a double undermount sink. Doubt that will happen!

I believe as long as they can get it in to their local supplier, you can choose any brand laminate. I know here in Calgary, almost all major brands are warehoused, and can be had in a day or two. Other than some fancy ones, 90% of all available laminates are within 20% cost of each other.
Maybe check with Tammy, you might find you have lots more selection, but having to deal with customers deciding on selections daily, sometimes having too many can be a real pain in getting them to choose just one thing.
