The view from our site

Didn't want to be off topic, so I started a new thread instead of posting to View from Rear Window.
Being retired, I shot this picture from my zero gravity chair on site at Qualicum First Nation Campground near Qualicum Bay. There are eagles, gulls, seals, numerous other birds and some flying ants here. Leslie claimed she saw a whale.
We have water and power and there is a free sani-dump on site for $35 a night.
Ferry fare to get to the island, tug and trailer and two seniors ( midweek ) was $161.

We are waiting till I retire (hopefully next year) and plan to spend a good stretch of time on the Island. We'll be asking you for CG reviews.

Good picture

Discount is 50 per cent on the passenger fare midweek only. You pay full fare for the vehicle and trailer ( mine is 35 feet total ). I think we saved maybe $11.

Oh ....had thought that seniors get a discount over all ....not just the personal . We knew that fares had gone up since our last trip , but if $161. were with a seniors discount on the whole fare -then one might expect well over two hundred for sure ...so for us at least good news that the discount is only on the personal . Thanks
