Question 'They' will not let us order our 17B!!

Now that I have your attention, this is why:

We tend to be far out planners and want to pick up a 17B in June, 2020. Escape does not book things out more than about 5-6 months, so they do not have any production dates yet. Calendar for Jan-Feb, 2020.

Oh well, just more time to plan, do and redo build sheets, and worry about pricing and exchange rates. Will try to not be a pest on the forum, but no promises. Wonder what changes will be made at/by Escape during our wait?

And spend time looking for a pre-owned 17B. Who knows, might get lucky.

BTW, Linda at Escape is great!

You can always give them a deposit and ask for a cancellation spot if you want to move it up, that is the way I got my first Escape in 2012. That way if someone changes their date you can slip in, but you need to be ready and prepared. If you have to wait next summer then maybe in Jan you can snag a slot.
Another reason for not going beyond 6 months, business wise is the exchange rate fluctuation as well as tariffs and duty changes.

Oh, yes, I understand the business reasons well, just disappointed. (Obviously it would be better for us if they take the risks instead of us, but in their shoes I would not do business on that basis either).

There are currently spots in August and September, 2019, but they do not fit with our needs.

Wasn't it the Music Man who sang about the benefits of time to anticipate the arrival of a wonderful thing?

Funny how things changed now... when we put down our deposit for the 19 the wait time was 13 months... that would've worked great for what you want.

(In the end with the expansion completed we got ours in 10 months)

And we got our new 5.0 in just under 5 months. They are getting more efficient.

You know that they will store 3 mo free and there’s a charge per month after that. It’d be a gamble that some outstanding new thing will be added vs the potential price change.

Things may have changed a bit. Back in mid-Oct I purposely chose a late Aug delivery date as soon as it showed up because I wanted as much lead time as I could get. I was watching the future schedule and it surprised me when the build date range seemed to have skipped months but I grabbed it. It may or may not have been a typo when posted but ETI accepted my order 10 months in advance. The only thing that would have been better scheduling for me would be if the build sheet deadline was AFTER the rally instead of the day before. I just know I'll see something that I'll like to have included. Oh well, something for me to do after I finish the already long list of mods.
