tire covers

Do all the tire covers have a Canadian Maple Leaf on them or is it just on the ones that stay in Canada. In other words, do the Escapes that are exported to US also have the same tire cover? Thanks for responding.

Re: tire covers

Although I dok not have an Escape, it would seem all tire covers would display the maple leaf to proudly announce it was made in Canada.

Re: tire covers

Our Escape, picked up in April, has a black tire cover with maple leaf. We don't mind at all promoting the birthplace of our Escape. --Liz

Re: tire covers

With some of the Escapes having that " Texas Edition " decal on it , then with the Maple Leaf on the tire cover , we thought it was rather a nice why to advertise the Canada - USA relationship .

Re: tire covers

I was hoping it had the Maple Leaf....I guess black is better for a spare than white?

Re: tire covers

The white tire covers had issues with the black of the tire bleeding through and discolouring them. People had taken to wrapping a garbage bag around the tire before putting the cover back on to prevent this. This is apparently a common issue with white covers.
Myself, I'd like a nice hard case cover but after checking out the prices, decided it was a "Nice to have" not a "Need to have".

Re: tire covers

Right now, only black covers with a maple leaf are available (at least for 14"). Tammy said they no longer have the white maple leaf covers, and mentioned the yellowing problem. If you let them know in advance, you may be able to special order a cover.

Re: tire covers

I tried Armoral on my white ( slightly yellow ) cover.

Accomplished nothing.

Re: tire covers

Try Comet, the powered type and a soft brush and some warm water it may do the job.
