'Tis windy, 'Tis Raining

Yep, it's raining, it's windy, good book in hand and a fire in the fireplace. Hmmm, I wonder if ETI would consider a fireplace as an option.:

We are currently getting a blast of warm Pacific weather that is melting all of that snow we got a couple weeks ago. Love it.

I'm happy for ya. It's called "the Pineapple Express" and before it got to you it dumped several inches of rain on us But when you live in a rain forest you're used to it.

And we're next, in Southern CA. Right now the first streamers are about an hour away off-shore. About midnight we're to get hammered. We need the rain, but not all at once. Too many brush fire burn areas that have nothing to hold the dirt, so the mud's going to be coming down.

I put a fireplace app on my tablet. It's a little too small so I think I'll look for a fireplace clip I can download to a thumb drive and plug into my TV. Just what we need for those rainy, chilly nights when we don't want to sit around outside.

Where did it go! That same corner still has a TV but without cable, satellite, or an app needing wireless how I get the fire to come on?

Ah I see on edit Ray has the solution. Thanks, Ray

My Mom has a fireplace in her 5th wheel. The fire isn't real but it looks real -- and the fireplace has louvered vents that put out hot air.

Hi Don and Teresa hope you came out of this one OK . Heard about the homes in Camarillo this morning . Went to Conejo Mountain cementry this morning for a grandaughter and the lemon and tomato fields were flooded real bad and mud every where which came down from mountains . Don't think fruit will survive . Too much water . We need the rain bad but I feel for those affected . Keep dry . Pat

Pat, Thanks for asking.
We did fine. Yesterday, friends moved into a home in Camarillo Springs. Turns out they were a street away from the 5 homes that got inundated with mud.
Tomatoes will grow through anything. The citrus should be OK; we didn't get close to freezing. The row crops and strawberries probably took a hit, though.
You probably got twice the rain we got, being an inland valley. It would have been interesting seeing the Simi Arroyo filled to the brim this morning!!! Take care. More rain is coming.
