Toyota - over & beyond

Ok.. I know some of you have Toyota's.. We have a 2008 Highlander and absolutely love it.. We were not affected by the gas pedal recall, but we had our audio go out.. It's under warranty, so no biggie..

We took it in and the mechanic when checking in the car noticed some tread wear/separation on the tires.. The service manger came up and asked how many miles on the car (we have 28,700) and said there was possible issue with the tires and GAVE us 5 new Bridgestone tires!! Yes, including the spare.. Did I say GAVE.. Yes, mounted with wheel alignment.

So I just want everyone to know that Toyota is going way beyond the customer service line.. We would-of been happy with a free car wash, which they did as well..

Re: Toyota - over & beyond

I had many different cars in the past: One Fiat, two VW's, one Geo Tracker. And I test drove many mid-sized SUVs back in 2002. For me, the BEST driving vehicle by far back then was the Toyota 4Runner. Needless to say, I got my 4Runner back then, and with the nice experience with this truck and the make, I don't need to second guess which make my next car is of!

And, if you look back through the Forum, I have recommended the RAV4 several times.

Jeff, by any chance were they Bridgestone Dueler tires on 19" wheels?

Re: Toyota - over & beyond

My intent of this thread was.. If you currently own a Toyota and you have anything that may be an issue, now is the time to bring it in.. We just "lucked out", but these guys are bending over backwards to win over the public again..

Out initial problem was no Audio, I checked all the fuses related to the Radio before I brought it in..and it was a fuse that was "called AMP" that blew.. kind-of misleading as I thought it was Amperage or something, so I didn't check it.. AMP meant amplifier.. they just replace the fuse & viola!
