T'was the Night Before Christmas - Escape Style
T’was the night before Christmas, and all through the park,
Not a creature was stirring because it was dark!
The trailers were leveled and set up with care,
In hopes that warm weather soon would be there.
The campers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of boondocking danced in their heads.
And Tammy with her clipboard, and Reace with his plan
Were back in their factory to add to the clan.
When out in the campsite there arose such a clatter
We sprang from our bags to see what was the matter.
And away to the windows we flew like a flash,
Threw open the doors and were ready to dash.
The moon on the breast of the frost and bright dew
Gave the luster of mid-day to objects we knew.
When what to our wondering eyes made us gape
But a vision of wonder, some brand new
Escapes!
With a tall, smiling driver, so friendly and quick
We knew in a moment, it wasn’t St Nick.
More rapid than eagles, the trailers they came
Each one was so special and had it own name!
There was
Toad, and
Escape Hatch, and
DoodleBug too,
There were ‘thirteens’ and ‘fifteens’, a ‘nineteen’ or two,
And coming behind was a ‘five’ just for fun
With Reace and with Tammy, both on the run.
A calendar was grasped in each of their hands
As they hurried to keep up with all the demands
‘New cupboard!’ ‘New colours!’ we heard people say,
‘We want them before our
Escape comes away.’
With a smile and a grin both Tammy and Reace,
Did all that they could, to just keep the peace
“We’ll install that and more” and they went back to work
While owners and others on forums did lurk.
Eventually all in the campground woke up
And realized the dream was only made up
Of memories and visions of the days we must tally
While eagerly awaiting the next
Escape Rally!
As we think of each other, and our worlds far apart,
We can spread our good wishes straight from the heart
From Chilliwack out to the continent bright
“Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!”
