One question about the Tacoma. Did you modify the rear suspension other than using the weight distribution hitch?

No, I did nothing to the Tacoma other than install the hitch and attach the towing mirrors. The Tacoma came equipped from the factory with a trailer towing package and 4x4. I'm not sure if this includes a beefier suspension; it might.

Thanks for the reply. My Tacoma has the factory tow package, so it should be ok.

I swear, it pulls like a dream-- very stable and maneuverable. I found myself zipping through Portland traffic, watching BMWs scatter like chickens. Heh.

Great reading. Mike you established a new standard for after-action reporting.

Thanks, Myron. I'd rather write than clean my house, but I've put that off long enough. Some Florida bugs decided to live here while I was gone. Bugs attract frogs, and frogs attract snakes, so I'd better get with it..
