Two things
We recently sold our 2016 19 Escape and have ordered a 21 with early June delivery,
While this may not be news for many forum users, we were quite pleased to learn that as returning customers we would be comped the front storage box.
Just recently we received an email from Escape Trailers informing us that the Max Fan upgrade has been discontinued after May 31.

That's an excellent perk. The storage box isn't cheap.

Yes, Azjack mentioned to me at Q'site that, as former owners, they were getting the tongue box gratis. Never get a better deal than that. Loyalty must count for something.
Jim, they must owe you a couple of tongue boxes.

Is a regular Max fan standard, and the upgrade was for a fancier one with a remote? Or is a Max fan no longer available at all? I prefer the manual model anyway, so if it's only the remote model that's not available that's just fine....but we really love our basic Max fan.

I got this and never really thought I would use the remote, but was wrong. I use it while sleeping in the loft at night, especially when it is warm out, and turn it down a bunch when it cools off, or speed it up if there is little breeze through the windows.

Max fan issue
I have a 21 on order for June pick up that included the optional Max fan with remote. Received a call from Escape last week to inform me that the optional fan has had so many warranty issues, they've elected to eliminate it from their list. They said no issues with the standard fan, so we accepted the change. As someone formerly involved with QC, I appreciate Escapes forward thinking.
Happy trails,
Marv

That makes the change understandable, as these issues cause a lot of problems for a company, more than what they could make on selling the upgrade. I certainly hope mine hangs in their good. I wonder what some of these issues are?

Yeppers, both of my upgrades had the gratis front box.... That said, that fan upgrade will be missed, between the smoke lens and the remote, both nice features. May make your resale "with rare fan upgrade" more appealing.

My bet is they were having issues with the electric opening feature on the 7500K model. They are expensive, but you can always swap the white for a smoke lid. In fact, if asked maybe ETI would just put on the 10 speed model (no remote) with the smoke lens which is model 6200K. The only difference between this model and the ETI stock model 5100K fan is the lid color.
