I know. I was happy when he first opened the brewery and used to drink their Pale Bock. It was disappointing when he sold out to Miller who ultimately ran it into the ground. It was later sold to Michigan Brewing Co but they never really seemed to recover to me.
My current favorite TX microbreweries besides (512) are: Real Ale (Blanco), Live Oak (Austin), St. Arnolds (Houston), Independence (Austin), & Yellow Rose (San Antonio). I don't think any of them distribute outside TX though.
Last fall we got to sample some wonderful microbrew beers from Montana that we can't get in TX which were yummy. I'd love to one day sample some of the fine Canadian microbrews that Jim says are out there... maybe at an Escape rally.
