U Shape Dinette in 17B

Does anyone have a U shaped dinette in their 17B? We are trying to decide which way to go. Could someone tell us if a table comes with it and how it is attached. Do you lose space in the kitchen? Will the bed size be the same either way? I'm also wondering if it feels like more room. We will use this as a bed at night and possibly put it into the dinette during the day. There are only two of us but grandkids are often camping at the same time as us and might be with us off and on throughout the day. Someone said the table is very small but not sure if thats a problem or not. Any advice would be appreciated.

The front dinette table in the 17 is already quite small, and if you make the bed/dinette area into a U shape, then the table area back there is also going to be quite small. If you plan to have your grandkids along with any regularity, have you considered a 19?

If you have not already, I would really recommend calling Escape to see if there are folks within reasonable traveling distance who show their trailers.

U shape dinette in 17B

Thanks for the input. We usually eat outside and would only be inside if it was a rainy or cold day. Our daughter and the grandkids do have their own camper but they like to pop in and hang out a little. That is why I thought the couch/u dinette might be better but I don't know. There are two escape 17 within a few hours from us but one is an A and the B won't be back to New England until late Spring. Thank you so much for responding.

If it is of any use, and everything goes as planned, I will have my Escape 17B at a New England Rally at the Chocorua KOA, 893 White Mountain Highway, Tamworth, NH 03886, April 11 - 13. I don't have the U shaped dinette, but it is a "B". It will be set up with a permanent bed.

Jon
Is that a fiberglass rally? I don't see it on either of the rally maps.

Jon,
Thanks for the invite! We may very well do that as it only 30 Minutes from our house. If we still had our scamp we would probably join you. Won't have our Escape 17B until mid to late summer. We are putting it on the calendar. Thank you
Brenda

Jon, the dates are May 11-14th, not April as you posted for NH. Perhaps you were thinking of Tennessee in April? But the dates are off?

Sorry about the dates, and it is too late for me to update the page. It is May 11-14...

No problem Jon! We already checked it out and realized you were off by a month. Wonder if they will let us into the campground to see your camper without being set up ourselves.
