Looking like you got a bit of snow there Alf. That's an old photo of your first 5'er, right?

Hi Robert yes it is his old one, now ours, sitting in very minus temps this morning although we are far from it in Thunder Bay where it was -30C this morning, apparently at home it was ONLY -29C. Escape Hatch will be sitting by the garage until about March 9th when we head to Green Eggs and Ham.

I've asked her to tell the dogs to be quiet. She doesn't.

I consider myself a reasonably up to date user of technology, but have to say I don't see myself wanting to be making requests of this Alexa. Who knows though, my record for success might improve over the requests I have hollered out to Lisa the last 35 years.

Directions

Our access blacktop road: County W24: tees into US30 about a half mile north of us. On the other side of the intersection is a gravel road. Last week a young lady was walking around by her car with her phone in front of her. She looked exasperated so I turned off onto the gravel. Her navigation was sending her north into the land of cornfields and soy bean fields. I shortly determined that she actually wanted to go south into the land of corn and soy bean fields. I had her follow me for a couple miles so she was oriented again and I’m sure she got to her destination by “ just staying on the blacktop”. Those navigation deals aren’t always all they are cracked up to be. Siri, Alexa, Maggie, three ladies I’ll probably never date. Rand McNalley now he’s my kind of man.

I know the feeling . After 47 years of marriage it might be nice to have a female actually listen to you and at least attempt to comply with your requests .
I still don't believe that science and technology has risen to that level ?.

Asked Alexa to play Harry Belafonte. She has no clue.
I finally told her to shut herself off ( she complied ) and then I connected my iPhone to my Bluetooth speaker and played the music I wanted by selecting the artist or title.
Alexa is useful for asking what the weather is when you don't want to look out the window.

Nothing but monitoring devices that are listening in and recording private conversations in your home. Not ever going there, and I keep Siri, Cortana, deactivated on all phones, tablets and PC’s.
