UV-LED Water Filter

For those that may be interested came across this today. Did a quick search on the name, but did not find a thread mentioning this device on Escape Forum so sorry if it has been discussed before. RV Geeks and Gone with the Wynn's are using these devices and have $100 discount codes.

Did I mention made in Canada!

UV sanitizers are being used in water systems all over...it works well but it is not a set it and forget it system. You need to keep the quartz sleeve(the bulb cannot be in direct contact w the water so it runs through a high quality glass sleeve) needs to be kept clean(hard water can quickly gunk them up) and the ones I have dealt with require yearly replacement of the bulb as it wears out and does not put out the same intensity. I have not looked at the one referenced yet but in general I have been happy with UV units. What is the power consumption?

Ok so I just looked at the website...it looks really good. Only turns on when water is flowing, uses 8 watts, no bulb replacement...everything looks great! But uhhh $700!!! I will stick with chlorine!
