Warranty work?

I'm curious where warranty work on the Escape trailers can be performed?
Especially if you don't live or travel with the Escape in tow anywhere near the factory?

For the appliances ( furnace, fridge etc. ) you go to a service centre near you. I drove two kilometers down the hill to an Atwood certified service centre. For the trailer itself, you would call Escape and they would make arrangements with you to have the work done near you.

I had to have a faulty pump replaced. ETI offered to send me one to have done locally. (I didn't think I'd get it fast enough for my planned camping trip so chose to drive up there to have them replace it.)

Then my furnace went out last May; I had that fixed under warranty by the local RV place.

is it necessary to fill out W-cards ?

reason I ask is we didn't get any documentation about our 2 batteries or Dometic AC unit, seems like there should have been something to tell us about how to run the systems and for an warranty work in the future

- there was a warrant card for the Dometic fridge and i think i saw a few other cards ... for things like the awning but i hate filling out those things

I don't recall filling in cards.
There is this document inside the wardrobe, listing appliances.

At Orientation We got told to fill out warranty cards

I hate filling out w cards. I get emails selling me more stuff

I never filled any out. When I had my furnace repaired I simply took my bill of sale into the RV place and they dealt with whomever. No problem.

So Karen, did they replace the fan motor with the "Lifetime Sealed Lubricated" bearings?

Ha! No, it was a malfunctioning sail switch, whatever that is. Or maybe it's a sale switch for all I know.

Nah, you had it right. The sail switch is an airflow sensor. When it goes bad, the fan will run but the flame will not ignite. Had a similar problem with the sensor switch in my home heating system. Luckily, its a cheap part.

During the first year we had our trailer the fridge wouldn't stay lighted on propane . I phoned Reace and he told me to take it to the nearest RV repair shop. I pulled up to a shop, they sent a technician out, he cleaned a piece if construction debris out of the burner tube, blew some compressed air through it and adjusted everything. Spent about half an hour and sent me on my way. No money changed hands, no papers were presented or signed; I never even had to go into the shop. Nothing and no fridge problems ever since.
