Well it is orientation time....

It is 4 am presently and we are at the BW next to Escape. This morning we get to pick up our new E21 at Sumas and then return to Chilliwack and traverse to Osoyoos. I am still on east coast time and woke up thinking about all the things I want to do today. I want to get a cover and some new neat accessories they now carry.I plan to take pictures and hope things go smoothly.

Saturday I saw the holes that exist on the power awning rear and it appears a piece of foam pipe covering will take care of that as well as a small piece on the window knobs to keep them closed and on the propane line coming up to the tanks on the front tongue. I brought 2 pieces of 8' foam pipe covers with me and will have them in the truck to install. I'll see what they say at ETI about my ideas. If good, I'll post those pictures for others to copy.

My propane tanks should be full and I want to fill up the fresh tank with some of this Chilliwack water, it tastes really good.

They are calling for good weather for the next 2 days, highs in 70's but rain showers for Thursday-Saturday and cool. Next week looks like the good week, sunny, 80's every day, oh well.

Interestingly, the time stamp is EDT not PDT? My computer has the PDT, maybe the servers are located on east coast? Off to get some breakfast and will followup later today.

Oh, did someone call in sick and you’re going to be teaching new owners about their Escape? Can’t see where there is anything Escape can teach you after 3 previous Escapes!

Use that propane sparingly to enjoy this rig for a good while before you have to order number five....

One of the reasons for a new purchase are the new options and accessories being installed that may need some clarification. Surely you have purchased a new vehicle where some of the options had to be explained? I'm 90% sure of most items and do not expect mine to take as long as others, but Escape expects you to attend as part of their orientation and importing the trailer across the border.

Jim you would have to change your own settings - Edit options - date and time option to Pacific time. You have it set to Eastern now (since you live there). We never change ours, always set on central.

Have fun with your new Escape, enjoy the rally, wish we were there, maybe next year.

Actually Jim we plan to skip it this year, going to Inyan in SD end of August then on way home to a small rally in MN. However we may be going to southern ON in October then on to Eggshells in the Outer Banks so may stop by and say hi in York.

Tick-Tock goes the clock! Enjoy every moment of orientation, even if you have gone through it before. New trailer, new stuff to learn.

Hi Jim,

We're heading out to ETI today to finalize our build sheet. Maybe we'll bump into you.

Actually our build sheet was probably finalized in our heads before we even ordered. Except for on item; that darn awning.

Ron,
We just got home from picking up our new 21. I struggled with the awning choice myself. In the end I went power and I can tell you that in the 2 weeks of camping on the way home, we used the power awning many times where I would not have used my previous manual awning. Hope this helps

Missed Jim at ETI. Evidently he was already down at Sumas taking delivery.

Yup, pros and cons either way with the awning choices.
