Yes it is the type with the split and I inserted one piece inside the other to double it up, open the slit and inset the other piece halfway into the slit. I then used needle nose pliers to pull it into the space.

Something else I did today, open the spare tire flap underneath and let all the water that accumulates there to escape. Once I find my hole punch I'll fix that "gumption trap" for good.

Try a pool noodle. Larger diameter, about $2.99.
Can use what you have left over on a ladder to protect the gel coat when washing the roof.
Picture is pipe insulation, but I now have pool noodle as well. Also use it to protect paint on car when tying down canoe.

I installed my Fridge Fix unit today and put in the extra cushion spacers to help keep our cushions in place while towing.

I'm not Jim, but would a pool noodle work? You can even buy those at the Dollar Store.

Cushion spacers...Well for a lack of a correct term, they are 4"x4" blocks of foam that were upholstered with matching material.
Used to fill in the gap on both dinette seat backs. Our cushions were sized to make a bed that has never been used. When towing, our cushions often end up on the floor. We have never been happy with the quality of our dinette upholstery.

I put our new mattress in ours today. The 2 1/2" latex topper is almost as heavy as the 6" firm base foam, but man is it ever cozy. Starting tomorrow we will be sleeping 4 nights in it, and can give a full report then.

Returned today from a two day outing with myself and one dog, wife and second dog stayed home. The trip was 35 miles to Collier State Park, Oregon. Hadn't been there before and found it a very nice retreat. The dog loved the swimming. Main purpose for the trip was to check the 'fridge in hot weather.

I took my drill and drilled 6 x 1/4' holes along the bottom as well as the ends to allow better air as well as drainage. Hopefully this will take care of the issue at hand.
That is a brilliant idea. But when you hook up the hose isn't it hard to arrange those holes on the top? If not on the top won't the flow spill out? But I must say I never would have thought to drill holes in the sewer hose for ventilation.

Thanks.

I'm really hoping that he means drilling holes in the holder to let it dry inside. The other way would add another dimension to dumping

He said "sewer hose holder" -- not sewer hose.

No, no, I drilled holes in the sewer carrier, not the sewer hose!! Sorry for the confusion...

Hi: tractors...Before my morning coffee I had to go out to the trailer and get some. It's getting so expensive we can only afford one 2# container at a time!!! Alf

OK, had no idea about the Red Green reference. Thank you Wikipedia!

"The Red Green Show is essentially a cross between a sitcom and a sketch comedy series, and is a parody of home improvement, do-it-yourself, fishing, and other outdoors shows."

I donno.
Anybody drilling holes in their vehicle to let water out?
I think those holes will also let water in, what with drafting at the rear of the trailer.
I've had no issues with my well-rinsed slinky.

That's what I was thinking. There's usually non-potable water at dump stations to flush/rinse everything out.

The first time I watched the Red Green Show almost turned into a medical emergency. That morning I had a hernia operation and slept the whole day. That evening I was wide awake and surfed all the channels and stumbled on to the Red Green Show. I laughed so hard I almost tore out all the fresh stitches. Oh, the pain...
