Yep, 2009 4.0 V6 with towing package and 6spd manual. It tows my Escape 19 just fine up and down mountains in Colorado.
Towing experience is wonderful, gas mileage is awful, as in I haven't calculated it because I really don't want to know.

2008 Toyota Highlander AWD, V-6. It tows the 19 with no problem at all. It worked pretty hard pulling the grade up to the Eisenhower Tunnel on the way home from Chilliwack, but that's a pretty extraordinary climb. We get 14-15 mpg towing, 21-22 on the highway not towing. Would definitely buy another Highlander for the purpose.

'06 Tacoma V6 auto trans for me, about 12-14 mpg towing. Plenty of power, but I'd recommend a WD hitch.

I used an FJ Cruiser with my 19' Escape with the Andersen set up, no issues.

Have towed my 19' for three years with my 2011 FJ Cruiser. Probably about 15000 km towing in that time, about 2500 km this past weekend.

The Eisenhower Tunnel is what sets the bar, you can find a video on YouTube of a Taco hauling a heavier trialer up it.

We tow our 19 with a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the V6. We have gotten an average of 15.8 MPG which included trips from sea level in CA to the Sierras and back. Works fine.

We tow our 19 with a GMC Acadia. We averaged 15.5 mpg towing 6800 miles back from Chilliwack. If we lived out west with the steep hills or traveled there often, we would consider a more powerful TV. For our needs, this is adequate and often gets in the low to mid 20's without towing.

I tow a 19 with a Ram 1500 ecodiesel (which is a V6). Solid 18 mpg towing, mid 20's not towing. Plenty of power for Montana mountain passes.

Our 19 weighs about 3300 lbs when underway. Tow with a F150 2.7L Ecoboost V6 Crew Cab 4x2. 16.2 mpg average towing, 25.7 not towing. Tows with absolute ease, even on steep grades.

Interesting, we tow our Escape 19 with a Jeep Grand Cherokee with the V8 and we average 14.9 miles per US gallon or 15.8 litres per 100 km.

Taco V6 rated 6300 lbs towing does fine with a 4100 lb (fully wet/loaded) Escape 21 up/down mountains in the Western US.

2010 Tacoma TRD double cab long box no canopy
We tow our 19 with a 2010 Tacoma TRD 4.0L 5 speed Auto trans with towing package. With no sway or equalizer hitch. Pulled through the mountains, windy plains, in the rain and wind. No problems even with water in fresh tanks at the back. Mileage as said before not great usually 14-16 mpg if we drive 55 - 60 mph. Love how the nineteen tows would recommend combination to anyone.

2012 F-150 w/ 3.5 litre Ecoboost & 3.73's. The truck handles the 19' with ease.
The more I tow with a gas engine, however, the more I miss having a diesel.

Sante Fe 6 cylinder Pulled my 17 all through Alaska and pulls my 19 ok. It does slow down a little on the steep hills. I get 16.5L/100 not driving too conservatively.
