11 in. wide 7 inches high. They weigh about 10 and 5 lbs. in the tow vehicle I have my bug out bag which is more outdoor and survival oriented. The more you haul the less likely you'll need it but like warm clothes, you can't put them on if you ain't got them. It is fun and satisfying to be able to help fellow campers, fiberglass or not. This is often possible with tools and knowledge, usually takes both.

It is handy to be able to use a drill for a quick up or down but since I like to do the final adjustment by hand most of the time I don't bother with using the drill.

A good stocking stuffer, if you don't already have one, is an inexpensive multi-meter like this one. Under $10 and it can save so much time trouble shooting. Many of folks asking for help on this forum could have saved themselves much time and effort if they had a meter and did a few simple checks.

Rita humors me some days. Others, not so much.
I do have multiples of many things but not torque wrenches. I learned a long time ago that you can stay out of a lot of trouble if you are a one wench man.
Staining took awhile as I have been shirking the past three or four years.
17.5 gallons of log oil, 8 tubes of caulk, about 3 or 4 cases of beer and we are done.
Rita did her share and kept me motivated. The welts are healing nicely.
Thought of you the other day when I took this pic.

Pre-greased wheel bearings

Does anyone carry a set of pre-greased wheel bearings? The Casita guru of maintenance, Larry Gamble of Little House Customs, recommends carrying a set, which I do.

I don't really see the need, provided you are maintaining your axles by repacking the bearings at a reasonable interval.

I can just see me standing on the shoulder of the highway, wearing wheel bearing earrings and hiking my jeans up to expose my ankle, my thumb out, hoping somebody comes along with a flashlight and a jack.
I just have my wheel bearings serviced every year or two. My mechanic thinks I'm OCD.
I have BCAA if I need it.
A 21 has four sets of wheel bearings.

No, I don't. The odds of properly maintained wheel bearings failing seems miniscule, and replacements are readily available. I don't carry any spare parts at all for my car, either, so I risk being stuck for days... but it would be impractical to carry a spare for any part of a car which might fail, and the risk seems reasonable. My Focus did strand me on the road once due a failed component - it was a Ford - but there's no way I could have known to carry a spare alternator.

I agree with baglo: the auto club membership is probably a more appropriate tool than bearings and everything needed to change them. Basic tools to fix minor problems in RV components (and to change wheels to use a spare tire) do make sense to me.

I do agree with the idea of carrying a spare tire, but tires are subject to failure due to road hazards, unlike parts such as bearings. Even then, it has been many years since I've needed to use a spare tire on any vehicle.

I think that you are twice as likely to need spare bearings if you have four wheels.
On the other hand, I have only one credit card. Should do something about that.

It's kinda understandable why Larry would suggest that to Casita owners. Casita uses a marginal weight axle under a very heavy trailer (for it's size) 17' trailer. Then there's comfort zone. If carrying bearings that cost less than $20 with you takes away some anxiety... that's cheap.

I carry a pre-greased inner and outer bearing and grease seal for 1 hub as well as my torque wrench and a few other simple hand tools. Its a precaution and cheap insurance. A lesson I learned after I purchased a new 16' Terry Resort single axle trailer in the early 90's, then on the first trip and half way across the North Cascades an outer bearing failed due to a manufacturing flaw. I guess if you have experienced an unexpected event you are more likely to be proactive from then on. Also as an integrity specialist in my working life I have seen many such unexpected events during failure analysis.
