Will 2200 watt generator power the AC unit?

I really only need a generator to power my 11,000 BTU air conditioning unit in my Escape 19. I camp at 6,500 feet above sea level. Thoughts on whether the 2,200 watt generator can get it done?

While I can't speak specifically to the 2.2Kw generator running your 19'er A/C, our 10 yr old (330 hrs on the hobbs) EU2000i generator would not start the A/C on our 2018 19'er at 7,000' elevation. (Of course, higher elevations de-rate / de-power internal combustion engines.) So I added an "Easy Start" from Micro-Air. That "fixed it". Now the generator runs the A/C, no problem. There's many great videos on YouTube on how to install the Easy Start. It's not difficult at all.

I used my 2200 Honda for my 19 AC on few camping trips without an issue. A week in Utah (around 5000 feet) in very hot weather before installing the Easy-start, the AC worked but it would almost stall the Generator on every start. Another week After installing the Easy-start the AC start is very smooth, I recommend installing it.

Remember to take your fridge out of Auto mode to force it to use propane, will save the generator a couple of amps.
