Re: Window in Escape 19' bath....
I can attest to the fact that the door doesn't seal the shower/washroom, preventing air circulation. All you have to do is forget to cover the door with the shower curtain and you to will discover a puddle of water outside the door.
And, unlike the Maxfan, the bathroom vent will allow water to enter in a rainstorm, depending on the direction of the wind. It's not a lot of water, but enough to notice.
We've had no issues with odor, but we don't eat a lot of re-fried beans

I can see why you would flush tanks every time in Texas temps.

Very true. Since we brought our Escape to the southern US, we have seen a few issues that some in the North would probably neither notice nor care about. The Escape crew has been super in working through these issues with us.

The 5.0 is different than the 19. The 19s I have seen have a translucent square white opening door in the ceiling that looks like it would give decent airflow and nice daylight. Our 5.0 has a powered exhaust fan topped with a black translucent dome. When operating, good airflow. When open but not operating it gives just a bit of natural airflow. When closed it transmits little daylight. Before the window, we had to turn on the bathroom light every time.
Our trailer does not have a convenient window on the curb side to pass the hose through. As noted above, we also attempt to rinse the black tank at every dump. We have installed a black tank rinser, which works at about 75 percent of the dump stations. Very useful device. So in our case, the main purposes for the window are ventilation and to provide light. And it does a heck of a job!

Any chance of pictures of the black tank rinse install. That sounds like a good idea.

Vicki put up a picture of it a few weeks ago under MODIFICATIONS-ALTERATIONS/ Latest Mods. If you want more details, I can put something together.

I'll take some pics and do a little write up when I get some time.
