Jeff,

If you come up with a solution to trash storage, you can put this idea in there....

A fuel guage with E where the F would be and vice-versa.

I'm sorry.

Jeff, I am of no help in artsy design. I did notice the new banner though, and it is quite nice.

Re: Working on some kind of logo

A quick question.. is everyone seeing the 'text" in the graphic header.. It should read "Escape Travel Forum - yes lets escape!"..

I see it on my side.. also should see the News Box with the links to the other sites..

Jeff, the text in the banner shows fine. User Info, News Box & Key Stats boxes are all showing under it.

Re: Working on some kind of logo

I don't care for moving stuff on my screen when I am reading. An impression of motion is fine. I have actually put some forum posters in other forums on ignore, just so that I wouldn't have to watch their jumping avatars.

A nice start, Jeff.

On my computer, the banner does not go all the way across the top. There is a blank area to its right. The news box is below the blank area. It looks good to me.

I think the Toyota Highlander in the picture would look better with a new 19' behind it : - )

What about a picture of each one? That way everyone's Escape would be represented.

Re: Working on some kind of logo

I have to ask.

What do you mean by logo? The picture at the top of the page would be a banner. A logo would be a small graphic that could be employed on a cap, or large on a t-shirt or as a decal on my RAV. It would be simple, but evocative.

And, if I have one on my cap, it won't be rotating, unless it's a beanie.

I agree with an earlier response. I don't like stuff bouncing or rotating when I'm trying to read a message, or type one ( as in, why is that M moving from right to left? ).

Anyway, I do have my thinking beanie on.

Re: Working on some kind of logo

Can you at least, please fix the grammar error in the banner at the top?

It should be Let's, because it's a contraction of Let Us.

Re: Working on some kind of logo

A couple of quick responses:

Grammar:
Thanks.. will do.. It was a typo as i try to get things done sometimes to fast..

Banner vs Logo:

Yep.. I tend to use them interchangeably.. You're right its a banner.. I wasn't really going for the "hat & shirt" thing.. I tend to agree with the motion as a distraction.. If I do a motion type banner, it would just roll through once and not a loop.. Just once every thime the page refreshes or something like that..

Re: Working on some kind of logo

Thanks Jeff, and you need to change it in the overall forum name (the breadcrumb), and at the very bottom just above the member list on the home page

Re: Working on some kind of logo

That may not be as easy as it looks, regrettably.. I'll need to do some research on how to do it w/o unloading & rebuilding the whole Forum.. There's probably a way, but I'm putting that one on the back burner for now.. the software doesn't have an easy way to change the "Forum Name".. board names (i.e. General Discussion) and topic names are easy, you just re-type the name, but not so for the "Forum".. I'll dig around though.
