I know Robert. I'm not going to feel comfortable until I get Ten Forward HOME. I know that 5er is in about the safest place it can be, besides being parked next to my home behind a locked gate. I get nauseated everytime I think about these folks losing their trailers.

There IS the possibility they'll find these trailers, social media is amazing.

Hope so. I think modern technology like lojack will become more and more common in RVs. Unfortunately, the average Joe isn't becoming more honest by the day. A stolen trailer used to be a very rare thing.

What amazes me is that this one and the two stolen in CA last year were so distinctive, with their one of a kind paint jobs. They're so recognizable. I guess all we can do is be observant and hope someone spots one before they're repainted etc. But it does seem more of a shame when the stolen item is one that's had a lot of time and effort put into it.

Anyone know where in CA the two trailers taken last year came from?

are these trailers being taken from storage lots or driveways?
I still say if the trailer is not going to be used for a period of time or checked on regularly or in a "policed" lot then take a tire off and put it up on jacks. Oh, and insure it!!!

That is terrible. I hope it is found quickly. I hope that it is not painted as it is very distinctive.

a ball lock, a missing tire, whatever was not going to stop these guys. Good insurance is the only way to feel at ease.

Forget the Bible

Nice to hear a happy ending for a change. The CA ones were part of a rental group stolen from a storage lot. I believe the owner had taken all the basic measures etc. There was some follow-up and leads but I don't think they were ever recovered. One was not only distinctive on the outside, purple, but also had purple upholstery. Well at least stories like this make us more aware of the need for security.
