FYI Snoqualmie Pass is closed in both directions due to accumulations of ice and snow today. We are three hours east and had three inches of snow last night on top of an accumulation of 30 inches over the last couple of weeks. On top of the 3 inches of snow last night we had an inch of freezing rain. Fun chipping and shoveling today!

Thanks for literally opening up. Seeing inside your cabinets is exactly what I need . What are you storing and where will it fit. Thanks.

With that much beer in the fridge door, you might want to get Larry's fridge hinge repair/damage prevention kit fairly soon. The fridge in our 21's have the same hinge that breaks as the Casita.
Glad to see ya'll are having fun. We came back to Houston to find it in flood stage - we can't seem to win. At least our house is high and dry, we just have to be careful where we drive for the next few days.
Anyway the great journey to Chillwack and back is over. Now to get all the mods done before Green Eggs and Ham.

Yeah, we saw the report on the news last night. My brother lives in Spokane Valley and my other siblings live in the Yakima Valley. No visiting this time.

That is interesting. During the two years we had our Casita, we stocked it full most of the time and the hinge held tight. I had that kit from Larry Gamble and never used it. I gave it to the new owner, not realizing it would fit our new fridge. Oh well.
Glad you made it home safely.
By the way... would you mind shooting me a copy of that new title/registration form (130-U)? I want to make sure I fill out the correct fields. Dorafred@sbcglobal.net
Thanks Tom!

Fred
I am very concerned about the weight of the beer on your refrigerator door. Please swing over to NE Iowa or SW Wisconsin and Eric and I will take care of that extra weight. Here's another tip, buy craft beer with an alcohol content of 10% or above. Cuts the volume down that you need to haul and consume . Course you're shot most of the time but oh well. Have fun with that new rig.

Mmm, Blue Moons. That's usually the first thing I order when I get across the border. We never used to be able to get them in Canada until last year sometime- then Molson got the rights to brew it under the name of Belgian Moon. Good thing, with the dollar being what it is I can barely afford a beer down south now.

Dave and I are indeed VERY concerned about the refrigerator hinges Fred and purely for that reason volunteer to help alleviate this serious potential problem. On the other hand if you hear from a guy named Bennett, he only wants to drink your beer....

Isn't the specific weight of alcohol lower that the rest of the beer, aiding in keeping the weight down. Consumption though is the best way to reduce weight.

Fred, Since many of your followers seem to be so worried about the stress all that beer is putting on your refrigerator door, rather than swapping for 10% beer in Iowa, why not head just a little further east to the Blue Grass State and stock up on some 40% Kentucky Sour Mash Straight Bourbon Whisky - space saving and no refrigeration required!

I believe you're right on the weight comment. Of course then we have to get into the glass thickness etc. So the second conclusion is probably to go straight to grain alcohol but that stuff is harsh. Next down, 151 Rum.

Barrel strength
I'm starting to see more of the barrel strength marketed around here even in the local distillery products. Of coursre it commands a premium price at which time the gourmet is separated from the gourmand and ultimately the glutton. My son got a nice bottle of Scotch from a friend when he got married that I allowed was pretty tasty. My son in law told me it was $120 scotch. Which as my dad said when he put a car up on the hoist with me in it to help bleed the brakes, " is as close to heaven as you'll ever get."

Next time Fred, leave out the picture of your beer and wine, and your thread will stay right on topic. Remind me again, what kind of cheese is that in your fridge?

No this is beer drift. It's a guaranteed Pavlovian response to pictures with beer in them....
