Those hard skinny tires can sure dig deep to something solid. I had an old Volvo B210 with skinny bias ply tires. The thing drove like crap on the streets, but would go just about anywhere in the backcountry.

I hear you. The worst vehicle I ever owned for driving in snow was my 1969 SS Camaro Convertible. Those fat tires would slide on a single layer of snowflakes! Then again, it sure was fun to drive in the summer!

And I owned about 4 Volvo 122S 's that were great in the snow! Loved those little beauties. (I hope that one doesn't me get in trouble with Jim again for getting off topic )
