17B Umbra hooks advice

We plan to pick up our 17B on July 17th. Thinking about having some Umbra hooks installed. Anyone with a 17B that can suggest where and how many ? Pictures would be great !
I'm thinking maybe 3 left of the door for keys, hats etc. Will we have to ask for that microwave/fridge wall to be reinforced ?
How about in the bathroom ?
Bob

An alternative to the Umbra hooks.

17 A here, but so similar that i'll post mine.

I have the cubby (a little holder and 3 hooks) one to the right of the door as you enter. i love it....but if you put one there, have them put it high enough that you don't bonk your head on the corner (they moved it up for me after the rally last year) . it's perfect for keys, etc and the cubby is exactly the right spot for the remote if you have the electric awning.

i have a 5 which they cut to 4 on the passenger side on the back ( large dinette) side of the refrigerator. It was not reinforced but the guys at escape know where the cross members are to fasten it up.

and i have a 3 on the front (dinette) side of what would be your bathroom wall.

the 4 and the three are all less than an inch from the underside of the overhead cabinets.

i use all of them all the time and am considering a three for the left side of the door as well.

Some more ideas

Here's some more: we have 5 sets of Umbra-style hooks & cubbies in our 19. I say style because not all are made by Umbra; they're look-alikes but had the right number of hooks.

All our mounted primarily with VHB tape. The longer ones are "reinforced" with a short wood screws barely entering the plywood facing where mounted. It's not because the VHB tape doesn't hold. Instead, it's because the Escape walls aren't dead-on flat; you need as much surface area as possible for the VHB tape to be effective

Do they stay put? Here's a link to my home made test of the VHB tape. http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f8...test-6245.html All the ones we have had in our previous Escapes are still in place, report the current owners, back to a 2011 17B.

Having the hooks keeps everything looking less cluttered, at least in our Escape. Just made a trip out out to our storage facility, to get the snow off. Here's some pictures of the Umbra hooks:

An alternative. 3M Command hooks. Come in many sizes and styles. These are brushed nickle. No screws.
