Yes, inside on ours but they thought it was because of the foam. Maybe not.

Interesting! We have foam on our 2016 -21’ and found the box exactly where Robert describes (D/S tongue, 3’ back from hitch). Glad they found it inside, Cathy

Hmmm. You do have foam and ours is older. They do move many things and no telling why.

I said that the threads were ground up on the original jack. I meant the gears. Thought Brian was going to get after me before I could fix that! At least, they called it the gears.

Level does not seem to work in the new one. Bubble is on outside circle when we are level according to our side level with back level a little off.

Yes. It is a Barker VIP. I had looked at reviews way back and it had good ones. Seems nice so far.

Cathy,
It’s likely not broken. You need to level the trailer first and then adjust the three stainless steel screws to get the bubble in the middle circle. Then it should be right thereafter. See #5 under Initial Setup on page 1. I’ll bet the shop where you had this installed wouldn’t take the time to do this or maybe wouldn’t have even known.

P.S. Nice install. I like the nightlight feature.

Thank you! We told them we needed the box and directions and then forgot about it. Have to go back, I guess. I will look at what you posted.

Have now downloaded instructions. Thank you.

It is a Barker VIP and cost us double what somebody might pay for another jack. Doubt it is worth it but nothing to compare. Of course, we were giving a bunch of money to the local RV shop so that is fine with me. I know that you could buy it much cheaper. I had seen such good reviews that that is the one I picked. I thought you had electric.

Ours is 3000 I believe. Definitely not 4000. If no 3000, then 3500.

That was the first elect jack I put on my Scamp years ago. You’ll love it and wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.
