We didnít see much space in the 21 for hanging jackets without creating clutter. Since I can create enough clutter myself to drive my wife crazy we decided to keep the closet for hanging. However, we also wanted a pantry for storing food supplies. Since we opted for the oven, we didnít have the storage compartment below the stove for that purpose. So we were back looking at the closet to pull double duty. We felt that we only needed about 9Ē of that closet for our jackets and the rest could work for our pantry. With the depth of the closet, we felt that having sliding shelves, or drawers, would make that pantry much more convenient. So, we divided the closet into two parts, one for hanging coats and one for our pantry. The coats are separated from the food with a solid wall and the food is easily accessed using the sliders. So far itís worked out great for us.
