I have that item on my screen door. Not sure about its ability to support much weight. Please be careful!

I'm 250 lbs. I only need it to keep my balance when getting down from the bed. the teak ones look very nice but look to far away for me to grab when getting down. I'm not very flexible. it just another option.

Too funny - engineers don't make beds. What's the point when you're just going to mess it up again?

After my wife of 36 years passed away, my house bed went unmade for for almost 3 years.

Then I got married again.........

Correction: MALE engineers don't make beds.......

No, it was your comedy partner, Paula. She thanks you for the compliment.

I make it that way too. The trick is to pull the mattress away from the front wall when putting on the fresh sheets. This allows room to make the front part nice a clean to begin with. Then push the mattress tight against the front wall, pull everything taunt, then tuck under the foot.

After that, pulling from the foot with a knee in the wee gap on either side, one can get things pretty even. Granted it does take some effort.
