Ah, you folks in the sun belt better appreciate it. This is what it's like in the Great White North trying to work on your trailer in (almost) winter. We've just had a week of freezing weather followed by rain. The water fall isn't a local attraction but ice melting and draining out an overflow drain. Trying to get in and out of the trailer without tracking in moisture and makeing a mess--not priceless
Making some progress but slower because of the weather. Started fitting the shelf boards and they're going to make the space I wanted.
For those of you who can: enjoy the sun.

Ron,
I feel you pain fighting the snow ,rain cold and ice just to get under the trailer cover. All that work before you even can start working on you project.
My wife just asked me the other day when do you plan to stop working on the trailer for the winter? I keep telling her just a little bit longer.
Mark

Kitchen Sink Drain Line Relocated
I thought I would post my kitchen drain relocating project pictures. In doing this project I came across a neat new tool called a Rambit drill for removing PVC pipe out of fitting. Without this tool I could have not have completed this project the way I did. I used the rambit to remove the PVC pipe out of the fitting closest to the floor. Here is a link to more better explain how this drill bit works http://www.youtube.com/embed/KQGssYM...l=0&autoplay=1

Nice work Mark,
I wonder why some of the pipe is black and others are white? Also did that remover tool strip any of the threads or just break the contact glue off?

Hi Jim,
The black pipe is ABS plastic it is a much low grade of plastic pipe and cost less than white PVC pipe. One important thing to know is you have to use a special glue when you join white PVC pipe to black ABS pipe it is normally your green color glue.
The Rambit drill just cuts the old plastic pipe that is glued inside of the female glue cup part the old fitting .

Thanks for the tip! This reamer makes sense, and addresses a problem with glued fittings that have found really annoying at times, but I didn't know that this type of tool was available.

Talk about the right tool for the job. That's brilliant. There are times when I've chucked a whole assembly because I could get the old pipe out.
Wouldn't have worked for me though. My wife has laid down the law about no messing with the under sink cabinet. She gets to keep what's there and I get to use whatever new space I can make.
I've almost got her convinced that I should be removing the opposite cabinet walls and making the same great space that you did.

Yah, happy wife, happy life
But a definite thanks to you for posting your finished photos of the under the fridge area. Once she saw your photos she OK'd doing that mod also.
So, it's finish up the two areas already opened up, finish installing the digital thermostat, make a control panel for the space between the table top and the window, get my solar panel and the adjustable bracket made and then after that what the heck am I going to work on?

I think we need to start a support group for Escape trailer modification nuts. I know my wife will be the first one to sign me up! I don't know about you guys but I probably will never be completely done making modifications to my trailer.

Simple solar tilting already outdated....
The researchers were able to get 40% effeciency out of the panels...
" The advance involved two steps. Three solar panels were stacked to capture energy from different wave lengths of sunlight, and then excess light from the stacked panels was directed by a mirror and filters to a fourth PV cell, making use of energy previously discarded."

I concur, an excellent idea. At the various rallies they'll put us all over in a corner, probably with sketch pads and steel tapes.

True that! I've got a list already, and I won't even pick my Escape 17 until next summer.
Don
Edit: another thought: There will be a sub-set of that group just for special tool acquisitions, and the appropriate justifications for those expenses.

Hi, my name is Ron......
No, they won't put us in a corner with sketch pads, they'll knock on our door and say "Do you happen to have...." and the answer is usually yes. I love it when someone says something like "does anyone have some Gorilla tape?" and I say "what color"
Ron, (spares and tools for any situation is my middle name).
