I'm hoping Mark will post some photos he has of the area under the sink etc. all opened up.
It's kind of an odd ball amount of space but the key word is space. It would be a good area for misc. stuff that you don't use daily.

Myronl,
Moving the LP line is most likely the easy part of you project to move the LP line took me all of five minute to completed. Go for it you will be happy you did it. In this picture you can see where my LP line from the furance was moved.

Mark,
Could you provide a little more detail on the L.P. gas line move. Does it involve adding additional copper line and fittings?
Thanks

Thanks for sharing the photos Mark. I'm sure a lot of people will find them of use for various reasons.
I like that the door under the swing up counter also allows access to wiring etc. because when I add perimeter lights I will need access to that area.
Looking forward to see how you complete and finish the mod.

I like the idea of using as much of the spare space as possible for storage, though we are not hurting for storage as it is right now, but could need more like this in the future.
One thing I have to deal with, is my converter is under my fridge. It does not fully use that area, but would be a pain to work around.
I like how the wheel wells are all insulated. They did not do that in 2009. I will be adding some as I open things up.

Mark, your picture "under fridge area" (posts #126 and #128) shows your propane line on the right side. I don't get that. My propane line is on the left side. It goes straight up to the left side connection of furnace.
Also note- center pix from inside out, shows wires I had to move out of the way. Spliced in another foot to the blue wire, was able to create slack for the red/black wires by snipping off a wire tie bundle on the wall. Have added insulation, a small false floor, and wood reinforcements around hole. My custom door may be ready by tomorrow.

Hi Jim,
Here is what I did I cut the existing copper tubing just above floor and then used a 90 degree compression fitting. From there I bent a new copper 3/8 inch tube and ran it up to the furance regulator. The end of the tubing will have to be flared out to connext to the regulator The tools you will need are a tubing cutter, flaring tool, and tubing bender. Not all compression fitting are creative equal and there is only one kind of compression fitting I would use and that is a Swagelok fitting. I will list below the part number and a picture of that fitting.
Swagelok B-600 -6 Union 3/8 T

Hi Myron,
I think you are looking at the picture of my LP line wrong . My LP line connection to the furnace also was on left side. The picture in post 126 was taken as if you where facing your furnace. That picture is showing the left outside wall of the new cabinet I added.
Yes your right I did end up having to also add about a foot of wire to be able to move the wire out of the way.
Mark

Oh...I get it now. The wall to right of your propane line would be the wall on the left side of my new storage hole.
What are you using to hide the plywood paneling end grain exposed around new cut out?

Mark,
Thanks for the detailed instructions. This will need to wait for warmer weather, but looks like a great mod.

You can request from ETI their little edge covers, particularly if you will be at the rally, they will bring them. I got some extra this year to finish off the cubbies.
