I ruled-out the Immeln since they require the use of a screw through the bathroom wall. Didn't want to drill through the fiberglass.

We went to IKEA (Coquitlam,BC store) last night and the Immeln and the Stugvik use the same suction cups, just different knobs to screw the suction cup tight. So Stugvik for the white plastic look and Immeln for the chrome look. And very good prices!

Maybe I'm missing something, but the installation pictograms for the IMMELN appear to show an adhesive attachment for smooth surfaces (shows a 12 cure time before use). It also shows a screw attachment option for wood walls. My mistake saying that they required a screw. However, it doesn't appear that they use a suction cup of any type that I can see.

They are;
IMMELN Shower/soap basket with hook - IKEA

but yes, I do see the 12hour wait time in the instructions, I think 'till you put any weight on it'.

The Stugvik has the same instructions.

I answered but the message said that a moderator would have to approve it.
I guess cause I included the hyper link to IKEA.
Anyways, the instructions for Stugvik and Immeln are the same and I think the the 12 hour timer means 'until you put the max weight on it'.

The back of the suction cup has threads and the wing nut looking thing on the Stugvik or the plain round knob on the Immeln, screw down onto it. Causing the center of the suction cup to be pulled from the wall, making the suction greater. If you put a screw through the center you would break the seal and never be able to use the suction mounting again but that is another way they show to mount it.
