Bathroom door lock

The bathroom door is easy to accidentally lock, and can be hard to unlock. I took the latch apart and removed the small locking tab. The attached photo is of the piece I removed.

Hi: jamman... I thought the tiny hole in the button was to insert a pin in to pop the lock? No privy in there now!!! Alf

That's how mine works. Pressing against the center disk in the button causes the sliding latch on the inside to return to the unlocked position. Perhaps Doug has different door hardware?

No key, no way to unlock it from the outside.

I didn't even know it had a lock. I'll have to look at that tomorrow.
