Bears Shade/Privacy Screen
Hi All, getting ready for some much needed desert camping and one can never have enough shade and wind protection. I know desert camping is not for everyone but We love it! This is just a prototype and has Not been tested, heck it may not even work lol any way happy camping.

Good method for connecting to the awning rail. What did you use for that, and how is it held in?

Very classy looking poles. Lucky Gen 1 owners already have theirs built in. 
Yup, love those warm windy days in the desert.

So it appears that the eye hook attachment on the pole is removable as the first 2 picture did not have them and it appears you are not using them for anything other than perhaps strong wind extra tie down? source of poles?

It still needs tie downs and such but that will have to wait until camping.

Hi, Jim I used 3/4 x 90 degree elbow FTG x Street and pressed in the aluminum spindle that came with tarp poles.

Hi Jim, real fancy I was actually trying to find a broken ez up for corner post but no luck. I think they have them in green also. Please remember this is in the prototype and has Not been tested, but I can hardly wait.

Yes you are correct they are for tie downs I purchased them from a local bike shop and installed a eye bolt for tie downs. they are gopro bar clamps need to make sure you get the right bar size.

Desert camping is the best! We are primarily desert campers, and ordered our Escape in order to extend our season.

One feature that I like on the old style is the base plate has holes large enough to drive a couple of 12" spikes at an angle to keep the corner post from lifting.
We still use tie down ropes. When the wind comes up the limiting factor is how well the flopper stoppers can do their job.

I asked my wife. She said probably Walmart but a long time ago.
