Re: Bed Extension For 17B
Because I did not know that I would have my son and his three girls with me a lot of the time, I did not get the flip-up bunk. I am not planning to have it anchored, except perhaps the legs at the top and bottom. I also would have it disassembled while traveling. If the legs were an inch or two in diameter, hopefully it wouldn't wobble. It would also need some padding so as not to mar its surroundings. Have you noticed any leg wobble? Folding legs would be preferable, but I was also thinking of poles that fit into a receptacle at the top and bottom.
Sorry you weren't feeling well.
I can see why you are happy with the extension.

Re: Bed Extension For 17B
The legs are the folding ones just like the one at the other end for the table. They seem quite sturdy...
Check on the FGRV site and see what people have in their Bolers for legs on their bunks....

Re: Bed Extension For 17B
Having used this bed extension a few times this past summer---WOW --I am so glad we had it done.
Very easy to set up and take down during the day..
I just put the wood and the piece of foam topper inthe back of the tow vehicle during the day and then under the bed area is clear for whatever we may want toput there...
So easy to climb out of bed without disturbing the other person and SO much head/shoulder space....
The comforter doesn't quite tuck in at the bottom but the sheets do and the fitted sheet keeps the cushions and topper in place..
We are going out on Nov 11 weekend so no doubt will use the furnace then, so our toes will be toasty---but far enough away from the furnace that it should not be a fire hazard...

We are moving and trying to get rid of things we don't use..
If anyone wants this we are giving it away--- We are in the lower mainland but are moving to Chilliwack next month--we "could" store it for someone if they were going to the Rally In May...
We also have a good quality foam topper for the rear bed...

They normally have a site set up at the rally for give aways, so you should be able to unload it next May, so to speak.

Hello Anna-Marie,
I would love the extension.
We just bought a 2004 Escape 17B and took it out for the first time this weekend.
We live next door in Alberta, but a friend of ours in coming through Vancouver in ten days or so and could pick it up from you on their way here.
I just sent you a Private Message with my contact details.
Thank you,
JJ
