The black ones do look so good, yes, very classy. We have seen many good ones in other colors though. Someone had the blue dots recently and maybe someone else had the green dots? That is a new design. They have them in yellow, too, but don't know if anyone has ever used yellow. We have seen red countertops and orange ones. Think just about every color has been used. Then there is the question of the marble or granite look.

While not the dots, here's a pic of yellow interiors. I can't remember whose trailer it was (Richard & Sue's?) but if it's yours, I apologize for stepping on toes. But I liked it!

VERY nice!
Wish I could have met you guys at the Rally. Or did I? So many new faces (all new, actually!).
Anyway . . . really love the look!

Thanks, rbryan! Just back a bit ago from Home Depot. Picked out 6 or 7 black samples, but it's really hard to tell from the tiny pieces (they only had a few large pieces but none in black). Going tomorrow to a Lowe's in Cleveland - have a feeling they'll have a larger selection and hopefully I can check out the radiance finish.

You can call Formica and they will send you 5"x7" samples.

Oh, yes, someone used yellow, too. Not sure any color has not been used.

Yikes - I'm having a hard enough time just choosing from the black options! This overloaded brain (think tow-vehicle-searching/build-sheet-figuring!) has to limit the options somewhere!

After I narrowed my choices to a very few, I ordered the bigger samples online from Formica:

Explore Formica® Laminate

Ellen stopped by at the ETI rally to meet me and view Ten Forward. She mentioned all black formica. I turned my nose up. I apologize if folks chose that color. I had a dark blue, solid, matte finish in my sticks 'n bricks home and the dust was AWFUL. I can't even imagine camping with windows open... I mentioned, something other than a solid... I like some of the pics posted. But honestly, a solid black, glossy or matte .. for a full-time rig... wouldn't work for me. YMMV

And you suggested I pose the question on the forum. I really appreciate your suggestion -- have received lots of great feedback. Hey, I figure -- my counter is really, really small -- can just quickly wipe it off and good t'go. I just am lovin' the looks of these black counters.

Ellen, you're receiving some great feedback and PICS! Only you can decide what will work best for you. I've made my decision, now it's time for you...

I'm on my second order of samples from Formica (technically, third as they only allowed 5 samples per request, so I requested 5 and 4 the first time around and they shipped them together).

Wilsonart has a nifty feature where you can plug in a selection of their countertop colors onto a kitchen layout, as well as change the wall, floor and cabinet colors. I spent a long time playing around with it.

I decided I didn't like the high gloss as it reflected too much light. It also gave me some ideas on lighter colors, as I was also leaning towards darker (blacks and greys) colors.

While ETI will not use Wilsonart products (even if you supply it yourself), you can play around with their visualizer and it can give you some ideas on what you might like. I decided not to go with the purple walls and teal countertop.

I figure once I decide on the countertop I can then figure out fabric and flooring.

I do like the black handles and hinges idea if you're using a darker countertop. Although, so far my favorite has been Denim Canvas from Formica (And Cloud 9 from Wilsonart, but I have to pass on that one, unfortunately.)

SO glad you mentioned that about Wilsonart! Thanks! I have all my samples out in the car right now but I know that some of them are Wilsonart.

Looking forward to seeing your final color choices.
