Bottom loft step size in 5.0

I want to follow in Jim's steps and put a kickspace heater in the bottom step.

The heater Jim used needed a 20" wide space and thus he needed the step made wider to accomodate it.

What are the dimensions of the standard first step? The heater I'm currently considering requires about 15.5" for the opening in the front surface.

Since no one has responded, when I stopped by ETI yesterday it was with my own tape measure in hand.

The standard bottom step has approximately 15" between the corner framing at the front. This is inadequate for the heater I'm considering so I'll be getting the step modification that is about 2" wider at the front. This changes the angle since the back dimension stays the same at about 28".
