Build sheet underway, 21 wardrobe dimensions?

I'm working on the build sheet. Thanks in advance. Cold beer at the rally to a hardy sole that has to brave the elements to help!

What are the dimensions of the wardrobe cabinet? I'd like to get the door opening width and height and the depth of the cabinet. Is the cabinet completely useable or is there a wheel hump in there someplace?

I'm planning on two shelves with pull out's and to use the bottom part for a dirty clothes basket. They're on sale at Lowe's.

Thanks,

G

Not home to measure my 21 right now but there is a HUGE amount of storage under the bed platform instead of eating up closet space. We added a 36 inch drawer there; as the clean clothes are used up we slide a divider forward and put the dirty stuff in the rear of the drawer.

Charlle is right. The "wardrobe" or "pantry" is just one space in the 21' You'll probably want to keep most of that for storage for the kitchen and a few hanging things (maybe). The under bed storage in the 21 'is HUGE (from a 5er owner that has zero underbed storage). Get that corner door as an option!

I've had my 17B for seven years and I'm still deciding what should go where. I'd just wait and see how I use the trailer. Stuff is always on sale.

Charlie,
This looks great. Did you make your drawer or did you buy it online? Would you mind revealing your source? What about the runners?
Thanks!

Drawer looks great Charlie. I thought about that but we're going in a different direction with the under bed storage.

Pull out's will work fine for us.

To answer the op's question, the opening is 18" wide, 24"deep and 34" tall, these are the dimensions of the door opening, the inside space about 2" bigger all around, no wheel well issues, total space is available for use. I installed 6 shelves on 1/2 of the space so that I still have hanging space.

Thanks Jim! Asking too much for a picture? Your idea with 3 or 4 shelves sounds good. I'm like a kid in a candy shop with all the storage space in the 21. Hope you didn't get frostbite going outside to get this.

Donna, you're right, we use the wardrobe in our 19 for stacked Sterlite boxes for the kitchen but they get heavy and it's a pain to pull out the bottom one. A couple pull out's are just the ticket. Never had much need to hang clothes or coats on camping trips.

Gracias!

Greg

Both the birch drawer and full extension glides were bought online; we won't be home until 2nd week of Jan to look up the drawer source. I build them as an assembly on a platform that drops into the under-bed area and clears the front door framing, screwed into the wooden floor.

36" 250 lbs Full Extension Drawer Slide (Pair) - 250 Lbs Drawer slides - TCH

These rollout shelves also fit perfectly in the closet and in the sink cabinet in a 21:

Thanks for the suggestions, going with Charlie's drawer and having adjustable shelf brackets put into the wardrobe. Gives us options about using it as a wardrobe or dividing it up as needs change.

It's all about flexibility, if needs never changed, I'd still be pulling a 14' Burro (with no head)!

Charlie and Jim, thanks for the dimensions and info. Helps to have this when one hadn't picked their Escape up. Jan 15 🎉🎉🎉

No. Not at all. Just counting the days, hours, etc. saw photos of the finished product. It looks like it all came together somehow!

Carla Jean, are the photos here on the "it's Friday!" thread? We all want to see your trailer!
