Cabinet Lights

Cabinet Lights

I know there have been several threads related to installing and wiring cabinets with lights. For those of us who didn't have wires run I just found some interesting puck LED lights at IKEA that we think we are going to like. Three reasons why I like these and they are different from other puck lights we have seen;

One: they have a mounting base which make removing the light to install batteries very easy. (Also comes with a clip base you can see in the package.)

Two: there is no switch to speak of. You simply touch the light anyplace and it comes on. The slightest touch of your hand turns it on.

Three: unlike most lights, these will go off after 30 minutes, so if you forget, or just don't want to bother, they will go off saving those two AA batteries.

They also had a round light with the same features that activates on motion and runs on 4 AA's. We bought these for $7.99 each.

Thanks, Tim and Julie. We only had the 12V drops put in 3 places, for future lighting. These look like a great alternative to the other spots we possibly "left in the dark". Peace~
